Sweet-tooth Troubles

My sweet tooth got me in trouble yesterday.
Karen had just finished making this creamy quiche a single day after making these delicious chewy cookies. Yes, she’s that awesome.
I love cookies. And I love chewy cookies. Especially moist chewy cookies. And this time, Karen even added a second type of chocolate chip. This is awesome.
I think I’ve digressed a bit.
Right. As I was saying she made this amazing creamy quiche with sweet potatoes and blue cheese, which I loved, but somehow my excitement over the cookies from the previous day seemed greater than my excitement over the quiche. Karen, being an equal opportunity food lover herself, was a bit offended by my lack of equal enthusiasm.
To make it up to her, I planned a hike for us up to Mount Tom, just outside Springfield, MA. It was an absolutely gorgeous fall day – sunny and cool, the perfect day for a hike. I think she looks pretty happy, don’t you?
